ABOUT THIS PILE OF WORDS

ICE WORLD LAVA WORLD: An infrequently-updated and utterly inconsistent waffle-house of video-game-related nonsense from the brain, spleen and other organs of Tim Furnish, a software developer and misery based in the UK who's used his clearly-not-as-precious-as-he-figured-it-was spare time to create interactive electrotainment about stupid wildfowl, science-fictiony space kidnappings and, most recently, everything spherical he could think of. And he wrote it all just for you, because you mean the world to him.

Haven't mentioned OpenSLUDGE here yet, so...

I don't think I've explicitly mentioned the ongoing work which is being done to SLUDGE. So here goes:

  1. The SLUDGE development kit changed from shareware to freeware a while ago and can be found at (and downloaded from) the SLUDGE pages that live at the Hungry Software web site - for those out of the know, it's a set of Windows PC applications for building your own adventure game

  2. The SLUDGE engine, which was always freeware (so that you could distribute it with your finished game), is now open source and is being ported to the Mac - updates can be found on the Adventure Gamers' forum in a thread called SLUDGE 2.0 - a work in progress

That is all. That and I'm still alive, even though this is the first thing I've written here for ages. And I'm aware that neither of the above things are actually new information. What did you expect - something up to date? Something I couldn't have written 4 months ago? Fine. In an attempt to make this more bloggy... "boooooo its rayning and i have to go to work now :(((((((".

  1. Yay, a new post. I've been checking back a lot, and I thought you'd given up on the blog. Glad to see you're still putting some effort into it :p
